Learn Grant Writing

In need of free cash? Unbelievable, but true. Billions of dollars every year are given out to fund individual and organizational projects. However it might take a little effort to study how to get these grants as well as what must be done in order for you to qualify.

A well-composed grant proposal is your key to a grant application. Grant proposals should be simple, brief and complete. A strong grant proposal must include all the important data of your proposed project because grant making organizations make their decisions based on your grant proposal.

When writing your grant application, it is important that you follow exactly the guidelines presented to you by the government grant office or grant agency.

Writing your grant proposal:

1. Follow the instructions given to you never write more words or pages than allowed. Supply all supporting documents, forms and cover sheets requested.

2. Include all the required data asked for and answer each question completely and clearly.

3. Your grant proposal should be in the correct style and must contain correct spelling and correct grammar.

4. The person in charge of reading your grant proposal generally thousands of grant proposals to read. Therefore it is important that you write your proposal in an interesting style and with an active voice.

5. Grantors do not just offer grants. There is always a mission behind each grant awarded. Write in a way that each piece of data you include clearly demonstrates what will be done with the money, what your objectives are and how you aim to accomplish those objectives.

6. Arrange your grant proposal in keeping with the way the application guidelines arrange questions and topics. If the application itemizes sections then use those exact information when writing the titles of your sections so that the reader easily finds the information that they need.

If all these still sound foreign to you, don’t worry, you are not alone. In fact, my friend Lucy just knew of grant money three years ago and we both had a hard time researching on how to come up with the perfect grant proposal.

Good thing we came across unclesamsmoney.com. It helped her write her grant proposal with their interactive software tool that took her through every step of the grant writing process.

The package also provided links that connected her to all funding sources. Lucy and I are now proud and happy owners of a boutique and importers of baby smocking dresses thanks to unclesamsmoney.com.
